Wall Niches These wall niches are a throw back to the turn of the 20th century and the Craftsman style home. They are designed to fit between wall studs spaced on 16" centers (standard spacing). They can be built to any height; limited only by the obstructions that might be hiding in your wall. (With that in mind, it's always best to build to the opening available.)
